CAPRIGIOS PIZZA is a veteran & family owned business that offers a selection of authentic Italian and European cuisine. Our founder, Ilona Rivera, named the company after her three children: Carlos, Priscilla, and Giovanni. Ilona is passionate about food and providing people with excellent dining experiences, and her love for what she does is felt in every dish that comes out of the CAPRIGIOS kitchen.

Chef Ilona Rivera 

Chef Ilona Rivera

Ilona was born and raised in Germany with German, Italian and Spanish roots. Her grandmother, Gertrud, was German while her grandfather, Giovanni, was Italian. Ilona’s mom is German-Italian and her biological father is of Spanish descent. So, you see, she was already ahead of the culinary world when she came into the world 3 months early.


Exploring her Roots 

Ilona has always been a fighter since the beginning: fighting her way to the top. Her father, the man that actually raised her, is an American. Ilona’s dad was in the military service for almost 3 decades. In return, when she was 17, Ilona followed her dad’s footsteps and joined the military.

Time of Giving Back

Now a veteran herself, Ilona is ever-passionate about giving back to the military community. She wants to express her gratitude for all uniformed personnel that have served and are currently serving this country.


Days Well-Spent With Her Grandfather

Her passion for cooking came from spending time with her grandpa, grandma & mom. Opa Giovanni was a chef at the cantina for the military in Germany. When she was still a child, Ilona would watch her grandfather cook at his home and she would be in her grandpa’s masterful kitchen watching his skills in cooking.

Finding a Passion for Cooking 

Ilona was really inspired by her grandfather to cook. Not only that, Ilona also has her mom and grandma that she watched as they cook when she was little. She would often help in the kitchen, learning the family secrets that she is now sharing with us as she presents us with the rich and flavorful dishes at CAPRIGIOS PIZZA.


The Joy That Food Brings

Her passion for cooking and seeing people smile after they have had a wonderful experience at CAPRIGIOS PIZZA is what makes Ilona happy. She has been classically trained as a Chef thru the Prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College with a degree in AAS  She spent 2.5 years at the Wynn and Encore in Las Vegas with tons of great Chefs that gave her a plethora of awesome information for her to hone into her natural born skill of creating and cooking food from the heart & with lots of Love!

Creating CAPRIGIOS PIZZA

This is definitely a family-owned restaurant. Ilona’s son, Carlos, who is also a classically trained chef, stands as the establishment’s  General Manager. He handles the day-to-day operations together with his wife, Caitlyn, who is the Assistant Manager.


Locally Owned Dining Establishment

Clarksville has been Chef Ilona's home from 1992-2004. This is also the place where her children were raised before their family moved to California. Once she decided to come back this way, she moved to Las Vegas for 3 years and made her way back home to Clarksville, Tennessee.

Ilona has been back here locally since 2015, working on building her family restaurant, which is now CAPRIGIOS PIZZA.
